What you will access and learn …Within all our programs is a close attention to developing your ability to communicate, allowing you to better capture what is being delivered to you, and explain to others what you are experiencing. You will learn how to utilise effective communications skills, such as:
For peak performance to be attained in whatever field of endeavour, effective mental training holds the key to success. At Red River Journey our programs, whether generic or specifically tailored to your individual needs, address the following “mental essentials”: Motivation and goal achievementAchieving outstanding goals involves deciding what you want, establishing a sustainable action plan, and taking consistent action. Engaging your own self-motivation is an essential element in this process.
Developing strong mental focusRelaxation, concentration, visualisation and mental rehearsal are all essential for performing successfully every time you “take the field”. Techniques that can enhance many aspects of your performance, including specific exercises to improve skill levels and competition performances, are part of every successful competitor’s “toolkit”.
Emotional FocusSuccessful performance involves not just on logical analysis or intellectual understanding, but also to access and use a deeper level of emotional focus and awareness. It involves learning how to handle fear of failure, pre-competition / performance nerves, how to focus in practice towards achieving your goals and how to master your competitors when “in battle”.
Positive Mental AttitudeThinking negatively can have a serious impact on performance. Elite performers know how to stay focused, utilise and accept a clear and unshakable self image and remain mentally tough whether they are practicing or in competition.
Self ConfidenceTop performers have an absolute confidence and a high self esteem that enables them to respond positively to challenges at the highest level of competition and excel under pressure to achieve outstanding performances, time after time. Having a strong belief in yourself is “mandatory” for success in and away from competition.
The Power of your Belief SystemYour body cannot do what the mind won't believe, and as your mind is a powerful determinant of success. Utilising more positive and empowering beliefs in your life will enhance your performance and encourage you to feel and be more successful at and away from the demands of competition.
Behaviour and Performance – their LinkHow you perform is tied inevitably with your behaviours in and away from competition. To improve your performance you need to consider the impact of your behaviours – “old habits die hard”. Change is difficult to accept; without change in habits and behaviours there is no forward movement, and without forward movement it is difficult to implement change in performance.
